Invite RailVidya to Your School
Learn Safety • Build Confidence • Inspire Responsibility • Protect Every Life
Dear Students,
Safety begins with knowledge, grows through practice and becomes stronger when we share it with others. RailVidya – Children’s Railway and Metro Safety Education Programmed, the educational wing of the All India Rail Safety Council (AIRSC), invites you to bring an engaging and meaningful safety-learning experience to your school. By encouraging your teachers and school leadership to invite RailVidya, you can help create a safer, more alert and responsible school community.
A Rail Vidya school programmed helps you understand how to remain safe while travelling by train, metro, bus, school vehicle or on foot. You will learn why railway tracks and restricted areas must never be entered, how to use authorized crossings, foot overbridged and subways, and why warning signs, gates and announcements must always be obeyed. You will also discover the importance of staying behind platform safety lines, avoiding distractions near moving vehicles and never attempting to board or leave a moving train.
The programmed explains safe behavior inside railway and metro stations in a simple and practical way. It teaches you to allow passengers to exit before boarding, mind the gap, keep away from closing doors and use escalators, lifts and stairways responsibly. You will also learn how to stay with your parents, teachers or guardians, protect your personal belongings and seek assistance from authorized railway, metro, police or security personnel when help is needed.
Railvidya goes beyond railway and metro safety. Its integrated learning activities can introduce you to road and travel safety, school safety, home and electrical safety, fire prevention, basic first aid, disaster preparedness, food safety, personal protection, internet safety and cyber responsibility. These essential life skills can help you identify risks, make informed decisions and respond calmly during difficult situations.
Railvidya makes safety education interesting through interactive presentations, demonstrations, videos, posters, quizzes, discussions, safety pledges and student activities. You will have opportunities to ask questions, share ideas and learn through practical examples. The purpose is not simply to memories safety rules, but to understand why they matter and how responsible conduct can prevent accidents and protect lives.
By participating, you can become a positive safety role model within your school, family and community. You may also have the opportunity to serve as a Young Safety Ambassador, encouraging classmates and family members to stay alert, follow authorised procedures and respect public-safety regulations. One responsible student can influence many people, and one accurate safety message can help prevent a tragedy.
Speak with your class teacher, safety coordinator, principal or school management and tell them that you would like your school to participate in the RailVidya School Awareness Programme. Encourage your classmates to support the initiative and help demonstrate that students are ready to take an active role in creating a strong culture of safety.
When RailVidya comes to your school, it brings more than a programme—it brings knowledge that can remain with you throughout your life. Every lesson you learn, every safe habit you practise and every safety message you share can protect you and the people around you.
Invite RailVidya to Your School—because every student deserves the knowledge, confidence and responsibility to travel safely and live securely.
Be Alert • Be Responsible • Be a Young Safety Ambassador • Be the Change That Protects Lives
